RXI Retired Members Chapter Membership

The National Organization of Blacks In Government was established in 1976 in Washington, D. C.  The RXI Retired Members Chapter (RMC) was chartered in August 2006 under the purview of the National Organization of Blacks In Government.  The RMC Chapter is located and operates under the  Region XI Council which incorporated over 50 chapters located within a 35 mile radius of Washington.  The RMC Chapter complies with the national organization's preamble to the Constitution which is an advocate to preventing discrimination of education, housing, employment and other unfair issues that impact the African American community.
Since 2006, the RMC Chapter has partnered with Grantham University to provide more than $750,000.00 in scholarships to students in the Washington, D. C. metro area.  Two students have successfully received their degrees with honors.  The RMC Chapter is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization representing more than 600,000 retired Federal, state and local government African American (Descendants of American Slaves) employees in the Washington metro area.  The National Organization of Blacks In Government encompasses more than 1.5 million African American Federal, state and local government employees worldwide.
The objective of our Chapter is to provide partial and full scholarships to deserving African American (Descendants of American Slaves) students both at the Undergraduate and Graduate levels to assist in meeting their educational goals.  The RMC Chapter mentor students between the ages of 13 - 25 for education and assist with employment to their specific field of study.

Mission
